From parents to administrators and school support staff, from curious grandparents to potential teachers, this 30-hour course is recommended for anyone seeking a foundation in Montessori theory and its practical application in homes and classrooms.

This engaging and informative course will be offered in one full week immersion. Topics include historical perspectives of Montessori education, an overview of Montessori environments from birth through adolescence, the development of independence, the interplay of freedom, discipline, and responsibility, and the collaborative role of adults in supporting child development.

This course offers 27 classroom hours with varied formats including lecture, discussions, readings, and videos, plus 3 hours of independent classroom observation.

*This is an Oregon Registry Set 1 program.  Participants will receive a certificate of completion for a total of 30 hours based on 27 classroom hours and 3 hours of independent classroom observation.
