Celebration of Light 2012

The Celebration of Light is an annual fundraising event and celebration of the Pacific Northwest Montessori community. The name of the event is a reference to the time of year in which it is held; late January, one of the dreariest times of the year, but with the hope of light and warmth as spring fast approaches. It is a fun and festive opportunity for the Montessori community to eat, drink, be merry and catch up with colleagues and friends. 

Our 6th annual auction was held at the Montgomery Park Ballroom in Portland, Oregon January, 2012.  Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, alumni and participants, the auction was an overwhelming success!  This event was everything one would expect in an auction and so much more.  Our exciting new silent table addition, Uniquely Yours, offered original one of a kind items perfect for the Montessori classroom or home environment.  And our over the top Dessert Dash included exquisitely beautiful and incredibly delicious desserts for the bidding.  What a joyous celebration!  Please enjoy our slide show below.
